Tonight marks the first Posh Poker tournament over at Mazzys 3 – Norcross, located at 7160 Jimmy Carter Blvd! In addition to house cash for top 3 finishers, I will be drawing for several prizes at the 9pm break, including 2 tickets to the Braves-Dodgers game for tomorrow night!! You are automatically registered for the drawing by playing in the tournament and you will receive a raffle ticket upon arrival. You can accumulate extra tickets for the drawing by arriving before 7:46pm, purchasing shots and entrées from the menu and by hitting big hands that play through to the river! Mazzy’s 3 is a top notch bar & grill with great food and beverage choices at reasonable prices and I think you will love playing poker here! I hope you can make it out for the inaugural Thursday tournament!

Hold ‘em hooligans

Come sit in on our last Tony’s Thursday game tonight and feel the energy on the felt!! Early chips are doubled if you arrive by 7:45 and the passcode is DAHLONEGA. Thirsty Thursday is here and we will play deepstack tonight!!

After tonight, our new home for poker on Thursdays will be Mazzy’s 3 a few miles down Holcomb Bridge Rd. All other Posh Poker times and locations remain status quo.

I would like to also mention once again that the final tournament for Summer ’10 will be next Sunday at 2:30 PM at Veranda Taverna. Chips stacks for qualifiers will be announced in the near future.

Final Tournament

Hello poker pundits! Well, we’ve made it through another 12 weeks and the final tournament for Summer 2010 will be held on Sunday, August 15th at 2:30 PM at Veranda Greek Taverna. Prizes will be announced that day! Stop by any Posh Poker tournament this week or visit the website (click the points leader board) to see if you qualified; your chip stacks based on rankings and number of qualifying nights will be announced this time next week.

New Venue for Thursday

Based on a number of factors, including recent questionnaire results, ever-changing food & beverage options and preferences, and just an overwhelming feeling to explore new avenues, we have decided to permanently switch our Thursday night venue to Mazzy’s 3 Sports Bar & Grill, located in Norcross, an 8-10 minute drive from our current location. This will begin on next Thursday, August 12 during week 2 of our Fall tournament schedule. If Thursday is a night that you typically play poker, I truly believe you will love the vast menu, beer selection, and overall clean and professional environment of this new venue. I look forward to beginning a strong relationship with the Mazzy’s group here Atlanta and seeing everyone there for our first shin-dig! This week is our final Thursday at Tony’s Grill. Moving ahead, we will continue to have our normal Tuesday tournaments every week at Tony’s, as well as Wednesday and Sunday at Veranda.

Door Prizes Begin

For the upcoming 2010 Fall Quarter, we will promote attendance by giving away door prizes at each and every tournament and all you have to do is show up to qualify and be present at the time of the drawing to win! We will offer all sorts of prizes, from fun poker supplies and free restaurant coupons, to movie passes, Braves tickets, and even cold hard cash! You won’t want to miss our first official drawing on Thursday August 12 at the inaugural Mazzy’s tournament!

Well, that’s all the poker news I have for now, other than the fact that I am up a cool $376 on my Pokerstars account over the past 5 weeks! I also bluffed Will out of a huge pot the other night!! Woohooooo.
